Attack of the Clone!

This is going to sound like something out of Dennis the Vizsla's blog, but Flat Brutus has been cloned! The original Flatty was looking a bit worn out from all his travels, so Momma took him to a mysterious place and had him cloned.

The clone Flatty (on the left) and
the original Flatty (on the other left)

The new Flat Brutus is a slightly smaller, sleeker version of the original, and he comes with a magical force field that protects him from rain, water bowl spills and pee. Momma says that this force field will help keep him safe as he goes to his next destination - Australia!

Maybe Clone Flatty will bump into Aunt Mainey or Uncle Eff while he's there?

The Beagle from down the road says it's a good thing we sent the clone away. Apparently, clones look and act like their originals, but they tend to go crazy and eat other dogs and humans when you least expect it. Or when their Doberman masters command it.

I summoned Aunt Mainey!

As you guys might know, my Aunt Mainey has been in Australia for the longest time. Why she'd wanna move away from me, I don't know. But anyway, I've been performing the Human Summoning Ritual that the Beagle from down the road taught me in Aunt Mainey's room every now and then, in the hopes that all the Golden Offerings will summon her.

And you know what? It works! My Aunt Mainey came back and surprised all of us one evening! I was so happy, I farted!

Aunt Mainey and me

She didn't stay for very long though, but I did manage to play with her quite a bit. Since Momma and Pops would be out at work all day, Aunt Mainey and I got to spend quality time playing together. She even took me for car rides now and then! That was so cool, because I don't get many car rides anymore, not since Pops got his new job.

It's that dog-friendly game that you
can play without opposing thumbs

Then almost as quickly as she came back, Aunt Mainey had to go to Australia again. Boo! I tried to hide in her luggage, but Momma found me and took me out. I guess I wouldn't want to be away from Momma and Pops anyway.

How did they find me???

So that was Aunt Mainey's little trip home to visit us. Paws crossed that she'll visit again soon!

Random Picture Moment - Starring Knuckles!

Knuckles resented being referred to as a mouthless, non-smiley dog, so he got Aunt Jol to send us another pic of his new fur-cut. Here he is, smiling as brightly as he can! And wow, his normally-huge radar ears have shrunk and all the fuzz has gone straight into his nose!

Grooming day!

Argh! Last weekend, Momma and Pops took me to the scary place where Uncle Melvin the Groomer lives. They put Knuckles and I there, and then disappeared. Later on, Tails came too! The three of us were helpless against Uncle Melvin, and he cut our fur!!!

Now I feel kinda light and breezy. It's a nice feeling actually, but so not worth the trauma from standing on the operating table and having my dignity shaved off me.

Anyway, here are some pics:

This is me, after my furcut

This is Knuckles and Aunt Jol.
He got a furcut, she didn't.

Actually, if you notice in that pic, Knuckles isn't smiling for once. That's because you can't smile if you don't have a mouth!

We don't have a pic of Tails yet, but here's Flatty after his grooming:

Actually, Flatty looks kinda the same

BTW, Flatty is still with us because his visa got extended. Yay! At least, that's what Pops says. Pops also said that we have to hide him if the Immigration People come and visit, but he says that one thing has nothing to do with the other.

Wardrobe explosion

The other day, I think my Humans' wardrobe exploded! I came into the room, and there were clothes everywhere and they were folding clothes and putting them back inside. Maybe they were just cleaning. I don't understand why humans like to clean. Me? I like to just toss my stuff everywhere. I mean, isn't it the best when you can just stop and rest your head anywhere you want, because there's a plushie right there? That's awesome, right?

Anyway, here are some pics of me helping Momma tidy up her wardrobe.

This sure is comfy...
why don't we leave it like this?

Okay, I'll help you fold...

See, Momma? It already IS a walk-in wardrobe!
Stop asking Pops for one!

Still missing Pops

Another week has gone by, and Pops is still working... sigh...

I guess I'll just crawl under the computer and wait for him.

It's not the same without Pops' foot

Something feels different about my daily routine

Something's been feeling kinda different this week.

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Oh yeah I know what it is now! Pops has been going to that "work" thing every day. I miss using his foot as a pillow! I don't get why he has to work. Isn't it better to stay home with me all day? I mean, if he says I'm the cutest, then why does he leave me to go to work?

Also, until he can figure out a proper routine again, it's going to be hard for me to use the computer to keep up with you guys. I hope you can bear with us until we can figure out how to spare more time for blogging and stuff.

Humans... you can't teach an old human new routines.

Airport pwnage

Now as you all know, the airport is a nasty, nasty place. Every single time my humans need to go to the airport, it means one of my favorite humans will be going away. My Momma went to Sandy Eggo for two weeks, and Aunt Mainey and Uncle Eff are still away in Australia right now.

No, not the airport!!!

So I was kinda a bit freaked out when Pops took me to the airport the other day. After all, it was just me or him. So either he was going away, or he was sending me away! I didn't like any of those options at all.

But it turns out that we were just picking my grandparents up! And everytime grandma goes away, she comes back with presents and toys! I was so excited!!!

So we parked at the carpark and waited, as the plane was delayed. We couldn't go into the airport itself as non-government dogs aren't allowed there (I saw a van drive past carrying some government issue German Shepherds). Pops took me out so that I could sniff some international-smelling grass and leave some Golden Offerings on the trees.

Something tastes foreign...

It was okay, I guess... funny smells, funny tastes... There were giant metal birds flying past, leaving behind yucky tastes and smells. I think I prefer the trees and grass back at home.

International relations

Anyway, we picked up grandma and grandpa, and I DID get presents! But Momma won't let me have them yet, until I decide which of my old toys to throw out. Anyway, I'll post about my new toys later.

Hide and Seek with Momma

Sometimes my Humans and I like to play games. One of my favorites is Hide and Seek, where my Humans try to hide from me, and I seek them out with my super sense of smell and cunning. Check out this video of my Momma trying to hide from me when they got home one night.

There's something evil in the garden

Over the weekend, Flatty didn't end up going to the zoo because no dogs were allowed. But it was a good thing that he stayed back with me, because we patrolled the garden and found some suspicious activity. Can you see what's wrong with this picture?

Still can't see it? Try clicking here to see the answer.

That's right! It was the Evil Cat's apprentice, Chairman Meow! The original Evil Cat must be hiding in its lair somewhere, and is now sending its minions to do its dirty work. It's been a while since I've had to go head-to-head with a cat, but luckily I had Flatty by my side. Chairman Meow saw how outnumbered it was, and fled!

Like I said, it was a good thing Flatty didn't go visit the zoo or I might've been in trouble!
