Christmas Vet and a poster of friends

So Christmas wasn't the best time ever for me, because during the festive season I started vomiting a lot, and it was gross. Now before you guys accuse me of stealing human food during their festive get togethers, let me tell you that I started puking before all the partying.

At first it was just in the mornings, when I would wake my Humans up with my puking, and then it happened again in the afternoons.

Pops took me to a vet on Sunday, and as usual I whined and whined and whined about that. Still, I got to meet some new dogs, like a rough collie named Merlie who also had stomach problems.

When it was my turn to see the vet, they x-rayed me, and found nothing wrong with my tummy. So the vet just gave me some meds to help comfort my tummy until I got better. And on that day, I wasn't allowed to eat a single thing - torture!!!

On the way out, I made sure I left a precautionary warning to other dogs that might have to visit the vet.

Get away while you can!

While I was waiting for my x-ray, we saw this poster of a whole bunch of different dogs, and they looked just like some of you guys. I got Pops to take photos to show you:

That looks like Khyra, the Thundering Herd,
the Army of Four and the OP Pack

(Did you guys ever realized that a lot of sibe blogs start with the word "the"? Pops said they're like John Grisham novels)

Benny and Lily, and Brutus and Carmen...
though this poster guy's ears are smaller.

At first I didn't recognize this dog, but when I imagined a pretty dress as well, it was pure Lorenza

Maggie and Mitch, though this guy
doesn't look half as cute as they do

Twink! And this picture was even life-sized!

This guy looks just like Salinger, and those Elgin pugs.
If you squint, it almost looks like Bruschi too.

This is the part where Pops started getting all careless. He accidentally deleted a photo of a dog that looks like Martha and Bailey, and when I asked him to snap a photo of a Goldie to represent Sugar, Simba, Samantha and Avalon, and Yanni, he snapped a photo of a lab instead! So careless! If I was taller and could reach the poster, I'd have taken the photos myself!

Oh, and I almost forgot:

My best friend, the Beagle from down the road

Merry Christmas!

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of updates but it's been really busy here over Christmas. First, there was the many many nights and afternoons of gift wrapping. Momma and Pops just kept putting bits of chewing paper all over the presents. Why they do that, I will never know.

Look at all those presents!

I tried to help anyway, by stepping on the chewing paper to flatten them out. After a while, my Humans didn't really appreciate my help and put me in a corner... and mistakenly stacked up some gifts until I couldn't get out.

Nobody puts Sonic in a corner!

When they were finally done wrapping their gifts, they realized that they'd accidentally trapped me in the corner and let me out.

Christmas Day finally came, and Santa Paws brought me lots of gifts! I got snacks, plushies, and even some new clothes!

Mine, all mine!

We also went to visit family and grandparents, and basically it was a very family-oriented Christmas. I love that, because all my aunts and uncles always love feeding me lots of attention.

Merry Christmas to you guys out there! I'm going to go and catch up on all of your blogs now!

Height matters!

You know something? I really hate it when Knuckles is above me. I mean, I'm the big brother, so I should be higher up than him, right? The Beagle from down the road told me that height matters because the higher you are, the higher up the high-rarky you are. Neither of us are sure what that means, but I think it means he shouldn't climb up over me.

Which is why I get really angry when he jumps onto the couch, or when someone carries him! He can't get away with that, right? I'm the big brother!!!

Here are a couple of videos of how angry I get when Knuckles is up high.

Cone of Shame - Human version

A few of you guys were asking: "Sonic, when your humans got lasered by the Uffos, did they have to wear a cone of shame to stop them from scratching? You know, like how we have to?"

Well the answer is yes and no. Yes, they had to wear a Cone of Shame, but no, it was different from ours. Check it out:

Pops and his version of the Cone of Shame

Momma has to wear one too, but she said that if I put her her picture, she would have me "snipped". I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds really scary.

Also, check out this dog blog list I saw on the Thundering Herd's blog!

The Big Black Helmet

The other day, Pops put this big black thing on the floor. I'm not sure what it was, but it definitely had bad smells. I mean, it didn't smell bad as in stinky, but it smelled like it was bad, as in bad-ass.

I'd better be careful of it, I think. I don't know why Pops keeps such evil things in our room.

Random Picture Moment

Not much happening today... so I thought I'd try what Pops calls "installation art". I put Mr Elephant, two of the Squees, and my soccer ball together in perfect harmony. Do you like it?

I call this work "Plushie Circus"

Meet the toys: Bunny

I got a new toy! Well, actually it's not supposed to be mine, but it is now anyway. Lemme tell you the full story...

The other day, Momma received a package. It had some food for me, a Christmas present for Knuckles, and when Momma was rummaging around in the bag, a plushie fell out! I immediately went and snatched it, and went off to play with my new toy.

My new Bunny!

But apparently, it was not my new toy... Momma said it was cousin Tails' Christmas present. She gave the "off!" command, so I had no choice but to let it go.

When Momma took it away, I started hiew hiewing the way the Beagle from down the road taught me... and it worked! Momma felt so bad, she let me keep the new toy!

And that's the story of how I got Bunny. He squeaks. I like squeaky stuff!

Random Picture Moment with Uncle Eff

Pops just told me that Uncle Eff won't be coming home for Christmas. That's pretty sad, because I like it when Uncle Eff is around because he's the only one in the family as furry as me.

Anyway, here's a picture of us when he visited in October.

Uncle Eff and me

Come back and visit soon, Uncle Eff! Grandma will really like it if you do!

The Uffos caught my Humans!

Oh no! I have failed to chase the nasty Uffos away from my Humans! You guys remember those Uffos, right? It's the funny red lights that appear out of nowhere and speed around, catching humans.

The Beagle from down the road warned me about them, so I tried to ward them off with my Golden Offerings, but my Humans stopped me from doing that. And now they've paid the price.

Momma's eye, after the Uffo pew-pewed it

Uffos have caught both my Momma and Pops, and they shot lasers into their eyes! My Humans came back home last week with red eyes. It's kinda gross, if you ask me. Their eyes smell a bit burned.

They then spent the next few days hiding in our room, with the curtains closed and everything was dark. They kept putting drops of water in their eyes... maybe to put out the fire or something. Still, I noticed that they don't wear their glasses anymore.

Soon after this photo, Pops' other eye
got all red and swollen

Anyway, maybe next time they'll listen to me and let me protect them with my Golden Offerings.

My evening outside

Last evening was awesome! First, I got to go on a rare car ride to pick Momma up from work! There was the usual cool stuff, like sticking my head out the window to get some wind in the face and greet the strangers on the road.

Then when we got home, some neighborhood dogs were out for a walk, and my Humans allowed me to go out the Big Gate and meet some new friends! There was Tia and Buffy, who were really big, and then there was another little dog whose name I forgot. They were all girl dogs too, so hopefully I didn't catch cooties.

Unfortunately, it was too dark for my Humans' iPhones to get any decent pictures. Silly iPhones...

Then there was this awful old lady who yelled at my Pops to take me away. I know I wasn't leashed or anything, but we were just outside our house! Anyway, I'm sure she's just bitter and lonely because she was brought up by cats.

Spurred on by the awful old lady, I decided to do poopy outside the Big Gate... and ended up with dingleberries. Momma cleaned them off, and then took a pair of scissors to my tail fur.

My tail is not floofy anymore...
hiew hiew hiew!
